About Brief

Brief brings your notes, reminders, and meetings into one place. Capture what matters on your iPhone, then find a little more clarity in your day.

Save it while it’s fresh.

Capture a thought, a screenshot, or a voice memo. Your captures are stored on your device, ready to review and edit.

Make room for what’s next.

Turn a saved note into a reminder with a local notification. See what’s coming up in Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and bring today’s priorities and meetings together in your morning brief.

The tools you already use.

  • Google Calendar. Optionally show calendars you choose next to your reminders. Access is read-only: Brief cannot create, change, or delete Google events.
  • Apple Calendar. Connect chosen device calendars with your permission to see their events in Brief.
  • Notion and Linear. Connect a workspace when available, review the text, and choose what to export as a page or issue. Screenshots and recordings are excluded from these exports.
  • Obsidian and Markdown. Send selected notes to Obsidian on the same device, or export a Markdown file. Each export is a separate copy; edits, tasks, and reminders do not sync.
  • ChatGPT and Claude. With the optional AI connector, choose which notes to share and approve the app’s access. Only explicitly shared notes can be read.

You choose which connections to enable. Read about Google Calendar data or see the full privacy policy for each connection’s data use and controls.

AI, when you want it.

With your permission, Brief can organize captures, transcribe voice memos, answer questions from selected saved notes, and help you prepare for meetings. Review its suggestions before acting.

Core local notes and reminders remain available without Brief Pro. Brief Pro is an optional subscription for Brief’s managed AI.
